Operating, ward rounds, consulting in rooms, anaesthetising? As for the money, well in public or private I don't think there are too many annos on the breadline. Wanting to do a whole other specialty for (even) more money is getting into the 'greed' end of the spectrum in my opinion especially when you consider that anaesthetics is a well-remunerated specialty. By the way I take it you are familiar with basic surgical training and its issues (and fees). How advanced are you in your anaesthetic training?
