Firstly primary courses can be hard to get into (espcially Kerry's Brisbane course), it may be difficult to organise leave, and costs etc etc. It's nice to have a different medium for studying, instead reading text all the time. It's great for people who have a long drive to and from work.... esp stuck in Sydney traffic. One can even listen to lectures while cooking / washing up! Most people these days have some sort of device capable of playing mp3s (ipods/pdas/even most mobile phones) I tried to record some of the physiology lectures at the Sydney course last year on my PDA but the quality was pretty poor & some of the lecturese did not use a mic so I gave up. Not sure how it would work though. I wonder if there would be copyright issues / whether lectures at the coursed would be happy to have their lectures recorded. Like Gasdog says, even if it involves a fee, I would be happy to pay for it, if I can't get myself to a primary course
