I think podcasting lectures is a great idea for several reasons. Firstly primary courses
can be hard to get into (espcially Kerry's Brisbane course), it may be difficult to
organise leave, and costs etc etc. It's nice to have a different medium for studying,
instead reading text all the time. It's great for people who have a long drive to and
from work.... esp stuck in Sydney traffic. One can even listen to lectures while
cooking / washing up! Most people these days have some sort of device capable of
playing mp3s (ipods/pdas/even most mobile phones)

I tried to record some of the physiology lectures at the Sydney course last year on my
PDA but the quality was pretty poor & some of the lecturese did not use a mic so I gave
up.

Not sure how it would work though. I wonder if there would be copyright issues /
whether lectures at the coursed would be happy to have their lectures recorded. Like
Gasdog says, even if it involves a fee, I would be happy to pay for it, if I can't get
myself to a primary course
